What is financed by Karuna Germany with the support of the Solera-Lift2Life project: Construction of the dormitory; training courses for girls and women

In 2016, the construction of the boys’ hostel was also supported. Therefore, the 35 boys now also enjoy living in their own new building. In the courtyard girls and boys play badminton and cricket together, which is quite unusual for India. Usually there is not much co-education and boys and girls have little opportunity to spend free time together.

The company Solera/Audatex sponsored the Indian aid project. Lift2Life is a company project initiated by Solera, which enables the release of employees for project work and financing of the Indian aid project. Olga Wolf, an Audatex employee, accompanied the project on site in India from July 2014 to March 2015. Karuna Germany acts as the German project partner.

In the training centre, women can train in the slums in order to generate their own income. “Fashion Design” and “Beauty Palour” are the training areas that both promise success even for uneducated women.

A project was started which organizes the sponsorship of girls from the hostel in order to cover the running costs of the hostel. If you are interested in sponsoring a girl, please contact us at
