General information

Personal data means information such as name, address, postal address, telephone number, e-mail address and any other information about a specific person. The handling of personal data is governed by the provisions of the the German Federal Data Protection Law (Bundesdatenschutzgesetz – BDSG) and other regulations.

The use of our website for informational purposes is possible without providing your personal data (exceptions see "Use of Social Plugins").

Through technical and organizational measures, we ensure that data protection requirements are observed both by us and by external service providers.

When you access our website, data is automatically stored in a log file each time you visit a page:

  • The IP address of the requesting computer
  • Date and time of access
  • The name and URL of the requested page
  • The amount of data sent when the page is transmitted
  • The status of the access (page transferred, page not found etc.)
  • Information about the browser and operating system used
  • The website from which the access was made.

This data is stored to support and secure the operation.

If you contact us via the contact form on this website or register to receive the newsletter, we will ask for your name and e-mail address. If necessary, you can provide us with further information voluntarily. If you wish to donate, we will ask you for your name and some other personal information relevant to the donation. Under no circumstances these data will be given to third parties.

We would like to point out that data transmission on the Internet (e.g. communication by e-mail) can have security gaps. A complete protection of the data against access by third parties is not possible. Data in need of protection should therefore only be transmitted via a secure connection (SSL).

Use of Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses "cookies", which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website will generally be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. However, if IP anonymisation is activated on this website, Google will shorten your IP address beforehand within member states of the European Union or in other signatory states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA where it will be shortened. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, compile reports on website activity and provide other services relating to website activity and internet usage to the website operator. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics is not merged with other Google data.

We would like to point out that on this website Google Analytics has been extended by the code "anonymizeIp" in order to guarantee anonymous collection of IP addresses (so-called IP masking).

You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website. You can also prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) and Google from processing this data by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at the following link (http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en).

Information on Google's terms of use and data protection can be found at http://www.google.com/analytics/terms/de.html and https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/. respectively.

Use of social plugins

On our Internet pages plugins of social networks are used. In particular, these are facebook.com, which is operated by Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA ("Facebook"), and twitter.com, which is operated by Twitter, Inc., 795 Folsom St., Suite 600, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA ("Twitter").

When you access the web pages of our website equipped with such a plugin, a connection is established to the servers of the social networks and the plugin is displayed on the web page by notification to your browser. This will transmit to the social networking server which of our sites you have visited. If you are logged in as a member of the social network, it assigns the information to your personal user account. When using the plugin functions (e.g. clicking the "Like" button, posting a comment), this information is also assigned to your user account, which you can only prevent by logging out before using the plugin.

For more information about Facebook's collection and use of this information and your rights and choices to protect your privacy, please see Facebook's Privacy Notice.

Facebook Conversion Tracking

To make potential users and customers aware of our online offers, we use the online advertising program "Facebook Advertising" and, within the framework of Facebook Advertising, Conversion Tracking, an analysis service of Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA ("Facebook"). Facebook places a cookie on your computer ("conversion cookie") if you have reached our website via a Facebook ad. These cookies lose their validity after 30 days and are not used for personal identification. If you visit certain pages on our site and the cookie has not expired yet, we and Facebook may recognize that someone clicked on the ad and was redirected to our site and took an action there. The information collected using the conversion cookie is used to generate conversion statistics. We know the total number of users who clicked on each ad and were directed to a page tagged with a conversion tracking tag. However, we do not receive information that personally identifies users. If you do not wish to participate in the tracking process, you can also refuse to set a cookie as required, for example by setting your browser to disable the automatic setting of cookies.

Acceptance or deactivation of cookies

The acceptance or deactivation of cookies – also for web tracking – can be configured via the settings of your web browser. You can set your web browser so that it notifies you when cookies are set or generally rejects cookies. However, you will then no longer be able to use all the functions of our website. The following links will inform you about this possibility for the most frequently used browsers:
